Subject [jira] [Created] (INFRA-9688) Do we need to clean up snapshot builds?
Date Fri, 22 May 2015 07:07:17 GMT
Patrick Wendell created INFRA-9688:
--------------------------------------

Summary: Do we need to clean up snapshot builds?
                 Key: INFRA-9688
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-9688
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Nexus
            Reporter: Patrick Wendell

I recently setup daily publishing of Spark snapshots (actually a few times a day) because
many users in our community want access to master builds through maven.

I noticed that these haven't been cleaned up yet. As a matter of good housekeeping I wanted
to ask whether we should be rate-limiting our snapshot publication or somehow cleaning them
up.

I was assuming that there is some garbage collection policy and that we can publish away.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
