Subject [jira] [Created] (INFRA-8141) Add validation for the PGP fingerprint field in the Apache Account Utility
Date Fri, 01 Aug 2014 19:07:38 GMT
Andrew Phillips created INFRA-8141:
--------------------------------------

Summary: Add validation for the PGP fingerprint field in the Apache Account Utility
                 Key: INFRA-8141
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-8141
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Other/Misc
            Reporter: Andrew Phillips
         Attachments: id-apache-org-fingerprint.png

I accidentally added a digit to my PGP fingerprint in the Apache Account Utility (see attachment),
which cause the following warning during site building (thanks to [~sebb@apache.org] for alerting
me!):

/home/apsite/wrkdir/build_00.log: [exec] gpg: error reading key: No public key
/home/apsite/wrkdir/build_00.log- [exec] Failed to read key E52E807147DA73E85F8233F81D0ADF834CC61C241
for andrewp
/home/apsite/wrkdir/build_00.log- [exec] gpg: WARNING: nothing exported

Would it make sense to add validation to that field - at least a basic length check?
