From "Hari Shreedharan (JIRA)" <>
Subject [jira] [Commented] (INFRA-5145) Please reset Apache Flume git repo - trunk branch to a previous commit.
Date Wed, 15 Aug 2012 08:14:38 GMT

Hari Shreedharan commented on INFRA-5145:

I pinged Jukka by email and he asked me to file an INFRA ticket for this. Anyway, the reason
for this is that git reset is blocked by a git pre-commit hook. Unless someone with better
access levels resets the repo, we cannot restore the repo to a state where the merge commits
from the committers local repo are wiped out.

> A bunch of merge commits from a local repo was accidentally pushed to Flume's git-wip-us
trunk branch.
> Please reset trunk to 6641c324d39c98c6353168e942aad993bf009054 : Update LICENSE file
with binary artifacts included in 1.2.0 release.
> I do have trunk's clone before the accidental push, which I can repush to trunk so that
no commits are lost.
> Thanks for your help.
