I assume you run an apache webserver, with some set of icons.

I see three possible problems:
1 you don't have any icons
2 you have icons, but not on vhost
3 your vhost wasn't given permission to fork out the icons

ad 2: to your vhost config, add
Alias /icons full/path/to/icons

ad 3: to your vhost config, add
<Directory "/full/path/to/icons">
Order allow,deny
Allow from all

Hope that will fix it.
