The server is updated every 6 hours for this particular mirror, using
The server has a 10gigabit NIC on 21gigabit of National bandwidth, as well as 300meg of international
bandwidth (upgrading to 10gig on the international as soon as the Seacom cable lands in .za)
The http server is configured as requested, and we have subscribed to the mirror maintainers

Some additional information on the mirror server: is currently to our knowledge the largest and fastest of the mirror servers on
the African continent, and consists of several servers situated in 2 different locations in
South Africa, with anycast dns distribution to do geographic redirection within the country.
 International visitors to the mirrors are load balanced between the Cape Town and Johannesburg
servers.  We currently host the official South African mirrors for both Ubuntu Linux and FreeBSD,
as well as hosting various other mirrors as seen on
