Subject [jira] Commented: (INFRA-839) Private list for Tuscany project

Joshua Slive commented on INFRA-839:

Geronimo is a bad example because they became an independent project.

Personally, I think it is a bad idea for sub-projects to have their own private lists -- even
during incubation. The result will be a separation of the community of the subproject from
the community of the parent project, which in turn will result in the parent project being
unable to provide proper oversight. In other words, the worst characteristics of umbrella

But this isn't a good place to debate incubator policy. If the incubator PMC approves of
this, you can feel free to ignore me.

committers. Please can we create a list for that with the archive visible to tuscany committers
(ws-tuscany group I believe).

Is it possible to pre-subscribe all Tuscany committers or should they send in subscription
