Garrett Rooney commented on INFRA-842:
--------------------------------------

Perhaps Tapestry could consider one of any number of blog packages that can render content
to static files that can be checked in to svn like the rest of your web site? It wouldn't
give you things like comments and so forth, but it would provide a way to manage a news section
of the site.

> Probably a crackpot idea fraught with disaster if allowed to happen all over the ASF,
but the sort of modern trend of some open source projects is to provide more dynamic content
on their site, like news is a huge one.
> Very specifically I'm asking if /www/tapestry.apache.org/ could have a new sub directory,
/www/tapestry.apache.org/blog/ that contains a wordpress installation to run a "news" sort
of section of the site with. ..Something sort of like http://blog.dojotoolkit.org/
> Normally wordpress likes to connect to a mysql (or other) DB server as well, I don't
mind having ajax connect back out to a hosted mysql server not being run by infra if it helps.

> It's understandable if it is asking too much, just think it might be something the ASF
might want to consider at some point..
