I think there may be a problem with this.  What happens if you are  
still in the incubator when 1.0 is released?  In that case, the 1.0  
final release will be version 1.0-incubating.  Having text in the  
version makes version math unreliable.  I suggest you just put  
incubator in the artifactId.
