True, it would be simpler - but only if the split is done per maven best practices.  I've
seen many project splits implemented in ways that are difficult to work with maven. To me
the bottom line is that the split, whether done before or after, should be done with maven
in mind.

It will be good for developing and using of FTP Server to split parts of project in differents
folders. For example, core may be in /core/src/java, graphics interface - /gui/src/java and

My application don't need any gui (and more - SITE feature not needed). So I need ability
to split such subprojects and use only FTP Server.
