I recreated this behavior on a Windows 7 machine using the example .rtf file.

When using Open Office Writer 3.4.1 Build:9593 - Rev. 1372282 to open the
supplied "Ohne Titel 2.rtf" file, the following text was displayed:

a
b
c
d

This differs from both Word 2007 as well as WordPad. When opening the supplied
file, both these programs display the following text:

1. a
2. b
3. c
4. d

The following version of Word 207 was used: Microsoft Office Word 2007
(12.0.6661.5000) SP3 MSO (12.0.6662.5000).

The following version of WordPad was used: Version 6.1 (Build 7601: Service
Pack 1).

For all three programs, the following steps were used to open the file:
0. Download "Ohne Titel 2.rtf" to the hard drive.
1. Right Click the "Ohne Titel 2.rtf"
2. Select "Open With"
3. Choose the desired program.
