When you have entered a value, you must leave the field to indicate, that your
entering has finished. Watch the column width fields. Only when you leave the
spacing field, the column widths are adapted.
The arrows buttons at that field changes the value immediately, because a click
is an action which is finished with the click.

But because other dialogs (e.g. line property dialog with line width field)
inspect such fields, which are in edit mode, when the dialog is closed with
pressing "Enter", this dialog should do it too, for to have consistent behavior
in the UI. Therefore I consider this a bug.
