--- Comment #19 from Regina Henschel <rb.henschel@t-online.de> ---
I have pushed a patch to trunk by revision r1340555 and commit log "Add missing
chart data point ODF1.2 standard symbols" which adds new standard symbols.

This issue can be closed after next release.

The standard symbols in ODF have no way to distinguish between "filled" and
"not filled". Therefore I add the circle only in a filled version.

If you need unfilled data point markers do this:
Make an empty folder for your new markers.
Create your favorite marker in Draw.
Export it to file type "svm", that is (StarView Metafile), into the empty
folder.
Make sure you have writing rights on the Gallery folder.
Inside AOO open the Gallery.
Right click category Bullets, click item Properties.
Goto dialog page Files.
Click button "Find files" and select your new folder. OK.
The list shows all pictures, which can be used from that folder.
Click on your marker file and then on button ADD.

In the data point properties of the chart click on Icon Select and then
Gallery. It shows the content of the category Bullets. You should find your
marker there. Because it is svm format the transparency are retained and so you
can have unfilled markers.

To get such markers in the default installation is a very different task and
need a new bug report. Please write a new bug report, if you want this feature.
