Then added a new style - named "Tight", linked with "Default" (which I had previously modified to use a different font and different line spacing). Then changed the line spacing for "Tight" to a lesser gap than "Default". Then saved the template. If I open an existing document based on my template (now modified) the new style does not appear in the "Styles and Formatting" box at all. That is issue no. 1 (I should have thought it would be present and available for use). To get round the above issue, I create a new document based on my newly modified template, then I use Insert/File... to insert the existing file (previously saved as an HTML document with an ".htm" extension - it is a contents list with each item, excepting headings, a hyperlink to another HTML document) into the new document. The new style is now available, but paragraphs previousy in "Default" style are now in ""Text body" style (those that are hyperlinks as well as those that are not). However, my new style (named "Tight") is now available, so I reformat all "Text body" paragraphs as "Tight" by highlighting them and then double-clicking "Tight" in the "Styles and Formatting" box. I then verify that all paragraphs in the document are in the styles I want, by running through them and checking the "Style" box on the toolbar; all former "Text body" paragraphs are now "Tight". I then save the document, choosing HTML format and naming it the same as the document it is replacing and confirming that I want HTML format when asked. Then I close OO Writer, and then relaunch it, then I open the document I saved as above. The paragraphs previously in "Tight" style are once again "Text body" and "Tight" does not appear in the "Styles and Formatting" box. However, they are in the correct font and the line spacing is correct. If I now change one of these paragraphs (which is not a hyperlink) to "Default" style, it changes to Times New Roman font, zero spacing above and below (in my template, "Default" is set to DejaVu Sans, spacing zero above and 0.25 cm below; "Tight" style inherited the font and spacing is zero above, 0.08 cm below). If I change a paragraph which is a hyperlink to "Default" style, its font remains Deja Vu Sans but line spacing becomes zero above and below. All this is seriously confusing and very difficult to explain adequately. I hope I have done enough to make it comprehensible. -- Configure bugmail: https://issues.apache.org/ooo/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug.
