I am replicating this in OOo 3.4 build 9583 on a Windows 7 system. I am
comparing it to MS Word 2010, same Windows system.

As far as I can tell, SHIFT+ENTER works correctly. In a bulleted list, pressing
SHIFT+ENTER inserts a newline. It does not insert a paragraph break and
therefore it does not insert spacing between paragraphs.

The report says that the newline text "almost touches the earlier bulleted
item." I do not see this. What I see is that the space between the preceding
line and the newline is the same as between any two lines in the same

I see that in both OOo and MS Word. (See the attachments).

In these two screenshots, I used the default settings for paragraph spacing
(the Default style in OOo and the Normal style in Word). Suppose that I
increase the spacing so that there is added space before and after a paragraph,
but no added space between lines. In that case, both OOo and MS Word behave the
same way. There is no extra space between the paragraph and the newline, but
there is extra space between paragraphs. I've included screenshot 2 from Word.
The OOo screen looks the same.

Adobe InDesign works the same way (I just checked it) as did PageMaker (even
when PageMaker was published by Aldus, before Adobe). I think this is
industry-standard behavior and therefore I think it is not a bug.
