Yes, packaging JREs along with apps is a capital sin in Java development. It goes back to the days of the slightly incompatible Java 1.1 and MSFT Java, where vendors choose to package JVMs along with apps to save them from the grief of "it doesn' t run on my JVM" hassles. It should be avoided at all costs. FC
