I have an idea: if you look at the stax api module,
there is an option to copy the binaries in a download
dir. This works very well for java libraries (saxon,
rhino, even beanshell).

Seamonkey we can probably live without.
The big problem is still Coin-MP: we really should have
the option to use the external library in configure.

I will do this next week. I will probably use Apache extras and
at a later time we could leave there the old GPL'd stuff too
(unsupported of course).
