I'm trying to clarify the scenario...

Do you mean that, you need a (Blanks)/(Non-Blanks) condition in the
autofilter? Why is it related with top 50/100?

I just had a quick look. One alternative to do that, is to use Standard
Filter...and then set empty/not empty" in the filter...not one step
solution...does it help?
