The users of the majority of Apache projects are technical users who
are very comfortable in a mailing list. OOo users are a different
beast. I'm not sure any other Apache projects *need* a forum. I don't
think any have lobbied the infrastructure team to provide one.
However, if there were forums available then it is not unlikely that
other projects would avail themselves of the services.

Thank you for your offer. I think this is really important to the ASF.
We are exploring new territory for the ASF with respect to managing
user focussed forums of this type. Having people like you and your
co-moderators on hand to help us do that is really important. I can
certainly imagine a day when we will be nominating some people who
make such contributions to the foundation for Membership. For now we
should, as you say, get the Apache OOo situation resolved first.
