I don't really have any strong feelings about where it ends up or if it
stays as its own project. But it is most certainly a useful project.
Like others I would like to spend more time on it...

As an aside I did add a couple of minor fixes and tests to a couple of bug
reports but they're still sitting there since things have been pretty quiet
around here.
No big deal.
