Nick -- Could you add a test case for this?  Ideally it would be a test case that fails without
your new logic, but passes after.  The ODF doc should go in test/resources and the test case
in test/java, probably in  org.odftoolkit.simple.text.list.ListItemTest.

This will make it easier to review your patch and ensure that this use case doesn't accidentally
break in the future, since we'll always be testing it.
