Charles Reiss commented on MESOS-170:
-------------------------------------

It turns out you can do

make check TESTS=""

to get this effect

> Add a target in the Makefile to build tests but not run them
> ------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: MESOS-170
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MESOS-170
> Project: Mesos
> Issue Type: New Feature

> It is really painful during writing tests, to check if the code compiles and if the newly
written test works as expected.
> Currently we have to do 'make check' which not only builds the tests but also runs ALL
of them, which is a productivity drain.
> It would be really great to have 'make tests' target that would just build the tests,
so that one can do './bin/mesos-tests.sh --gtest-filter="NewTest"'.
