Subject [jira] [Resolved] (MESOS-5) Provide a way to programmatically query Mesos cluster state
Date Mon, 12 Dec 2011 23:21:30 GMT

Andy Konwinski resolved MESOS-5.

    Resolution: Fixed
Assignee: Benjamin Hindman (was: Sumedh Sawant)

I believe that this feature has already been implemented (by Ben) and the Mesos master can
be queried directly via HTTP on port 5050 for current state (as JSON). The webui has been
changed to use this, which has paved the way for others to write their own webui, or Frameworks
that look at the the state of the cluster when making scheduling decisions.

> Something like an XML or JSON service available through the web UI. This would be useful
for people who want to write custom software to monitor their Mesos installations, or who
want to integrate Mesos with Ganglia or similar systems.
