Hi David:

I have not personally witnessed multiple copes of java.lang.System, but I
don't see any technical reason why this could not happen in a complex J2EE
system with a big hierarchy of classloaders.

Certainly, in WebSphere Application Server, we have a multitude of "custom
properties" classes in many components at many levels of the classloader
tree. They're not quite as central as java.lang.System, but they are
important to keep track of nonetheless, and they motivate the need for
special analyzer modules that understand about that particular structure in
a particular runtime like WebSphere Application Server...
