Bruno Peeters commented on JSPWIKI-489:
---------------------------------------

Siegfried, the wildcard is at the end of the string, not at the beginning. The percentage
sign (%) is not mentioned as a special character in the Apache Lucene document you refer to.
Even with the escape character (\%\%su*) there are not results found.

> We have noticed that searching for two letter words is not possible, e.g. looking for
"AS IS". Sometimes it could be nice if this would be possible, but this is not the point of
this issue.
> A search for "%%sub" (or for "%%sup") results in all pages where these formatting instructions
are used.
> A search for "su*" results in lots of pages where words starting with "su" appear.
> A search for "%%su*" is however unsuccessful, no pages are found, although there are
indeed pages with %%sup en %%sub.
