Subject [jira] Commented: (JSPWIKI-435) Support Minor Editing
Date Sat, 15 Nov 2008 09:08:44 GMT

Janne Jalkanen commented on JSPWIKI-435:

I think TWiki's approach is better. They will not create a new version (minor or otherwise)
if you save within 30 minutes, but all edits go to the same version.

You can then separately force to save a new version (by ticking a box).

This is BTW a different approach as what most wikis think of as "minor edits", where you separately
tick a checkbox to mark it as one.

> Minor editing allows to save a page without creating a new version. This avoids excessive
creating of many page versions with no added value.
> Minor-editing will be allowed (defaulted) when :

> A user should be allowed to 'un-check' the minor-editing flag and save the changes as
a new version.
