Dirk Frederickx commented on JSPWIKI-194:
-----------------------------------------

These are 2 issues:

1) cursor at pos1 when opening the screen

We are using the standard browser behaviour when putting the focus on a textarea element.

I noticed that this behaviour is different between Safari (cursor at pos1) or Firefox (cursor
at end-pos)

I wonder if we should change that.

2) formatting buttons apparently do not set back a proper cursor in the textarea.

There is a bug in the javascript. Normal behaviour should be that the formatted text is selected
(highlighted) after pressing the formatting buttons.
I need to fix that.

> It's annoying that the editor doesn't jump to the last edit position but is set to pos1
when either switching between preview and edit or just using one of the formatting buttons
under the edit text area.
