Subject [jira] Commented: (JSPWIKI-131) mixed up authenticated with authorized in several messages
Date Mon, 14 Jan 2008 19:03:33 GMT

Dirk Frederickx commented on JSPWIKI-131:

Yep, point taken.
I was just trying to find a more helpful message, with a link to what a user may want to do.
(similar to what e.g. Jira is presenting you when you have not yet signed in)

But you're right, authorization is a more broader concept, and loging in may not always sufficient.

> Several messages contain authenticated where authorized is meant, e.g. on the info tab
of a wiki page "Only authenticated users are allowed to delete pages." occurs when a (maybe
authenticated) user isn't authorized to delete pages (same with other access rights).
> This is quite confusing for the user, but as easy to fix.
