Piston is just storing the revision number of the remote repository,  
nothing Rails-specific. Rails plugins don't have any formal system  
for version numbers.

It stores the following properties on a pistonized folder:

   piston:root
   piston:local-revision
   piston:uuid
   piston:remote-revision
