Subject Re: Unable to install hcatalog
Date Tue, 17 Jan 2012 23:25:12 GMT
Hi Carl

Yes i have verified that the file $FORREST_HOME/bin/forrest exists. I also
verified the same with apache-forrest-0.8. Previously i used 0.9. The also
tried with apache-ant version 1.8 and 1.7 just incase if there are any
compatibility issues with JDK 1.6. But it is of no use.

i was facing problem while it tried to generate javadoc, i have commented
the red part of the code in build.xml file of hcatalog source.

i got the server installed., but still i need to verify by using the client
before confirming that the installation is successful.

<target name="docs" depends="javadoc, forrest.check" description="Generate
forrest-based documentation. To use, specify -Dforrest.home=<base of
Apache Forrest installation> on the command line." if="forrest.home">
    <!--
    <exec dir="${docs.src}" executable="${forrest.home}/bin/forrest"
          failonerror="true">
    </exec>-->
    <copy todir="${build.docs}/">
      <fileset dir="${docs.src}/build/site/" />
    </copy>
  </target>

Thanks for the early reply
   Zaki
