Mac Yang updated HCATALOG-23:
-----------------------------

Summary: hcat client does not support partition keys other than string, when creating
tables (was: hcat_client does not support partition keys other than string, when creating
external table)

The current partition filtering implementation in HCatalog does not support range queries
for non string type partitions. The HCatalog CLI prevents users from creating tables that
contain non string type partitions as a stop gap for that limitation. One way to address this
is to only push the filter down to the database level if the partition type is string or if
it's an equality operation.
