Hi,

I guess because hama already builds with maven (I have successfully 
built it with 'mvn package' at first try).
So The work is already done :) (probably still link to apache pom 
parent, align folder names...)

There's also the possibility to use the maven plugins (eg: make a 
distributed zip with launch script automatically generated...)

Maybe ivy can also do much, but I think it is more focused on dependency 
management "only".
