This is a very useful idea to help folks do quick, ad-hoc stuff.  As a related note, you'll
need a bunch of standard vertex input/output formats to help folks get started.  It'll be
interesting to see what you use for the serialization across languages (thrift, avro, protocol
buffers, etc.).
