Subject Re: Project Proposal Question
Date Tue, 21 Jun 2011 19:25:25 GMT
Hi Erich,

There are no formal limitations on what an Apache software can do. While there is some historical
bias towards certain types of projects and technologies here, it is not set in stone or anything.
The area of use can be as broad or as specific as its creators decide. The only practical
"limitations" are:

* Apache software distribution should not bundle dependencies with incompatible licenses.
* The community behind the project must be diverse enough to ensure no single employer controls
the project.

So please prepare the proposal and present it here.

Good luck,
Andrus
