Subject [jira] Commented: (INCUBATOR-4) better docs for new committer procedure
Date Tue, 24 Jan 2006 04:24:46 GMT
    [ ]

Jean T. Anderson commented on INCUBATOR-4:

A policy clarification regarding the process details in newcommiter.r371425.html would be

If the new committer vote will occur on the project developer list, is general@i.a.o supposed
to be directly involved in that new committer vote? Or is the PPMC just supposed to notify
general@i.a.o that the vote is occurring on the project's developer list?

Bullets 2 and 3 suggest direct involvement to me, but I may be misreading them. If just notification
is intended, the wording should make that clear so that the vote doesn't actually get carried
out on the general list.

(Minor reminder for final commit: "signicant" -> "significant")

new committers to incubating projects. See the recent mailing list discussion at
