Not 100% we have an encoding issue it may be what was checked in  was not encoded correctly.
 Just waiting on confirmation for that.

Either way would work the same way for committers ie they take the git patch and apply with
patch -p1 to their SVN repo. So would keep but git and github users happy as well.
