I have to stand up here as well, I am planning on making the switch to an all Linux home, including
my workstation. This also includes media systems as well. Would be nice to have air..

As for my workstation, I'm stuck to windows because of the adobe apps and only the adobe apps.
And theres this: It runs on osx which is BSD at its core. 

I'll give this a try too.
