Flex has no competition in the RIA space I do not consider HTML
remotely close to a RIA technology, it's a W3C standard and as such it
will never be capable to evolve and innovate as rapidly as other
technologies that are not controlled and crippled by competing
interest of the giants who all sit at the specifications table.

Can Steve Jobs fool the world and make an entire industry cut itself a
leg and an arm trying to make HTML work one browser at a time? Yes,
it's Apple, they can pull anything off. However will HTML drive
innovation on the web? Damn not.
