Hi Scott,
we have two applications for the UDP binding.
First we need broadcasting for service discovery within the Etch RPC mechanism.
The second application is porting Etch to embedded devices which do not implement TCP.

We plan to use this mailing list frequently from now on to keep you updated.

i don't know of any udp work.

we don't currently have a need for such. can you tell us about your 
application?
