Subject couchdb-lucene - unresponsive lucene server
Date Thu, 15 Sep 2011 07:56:23 GMT

I'm new to lucene and just trying to test the performance of couchdb-lucene
 - snapshot 8 on couchdb 1.1.0 for searching texts in about 293129 documents
in couch but my lucene seems to get stuck whenever I fire query and gives me
error 400. When I check for indices built for this particular index it gives
me correct count  i.e.

it's only when I query the server becomes unresponsive -

I don't see anything in the logs. It seems to me that it's stuck somewhere
reading the indices !?

I tried to optimize my indices
curl -X POST http://admin:admin@localhost
{"ok": true}

check the logs again

 INFO [sense-test] Optimizing

Here's my indexing function :
 "fulltext": {
       "by_typeOf": {
              "default": {
                  "store": "no"
              "index": "function(doc) { var ret=new Document();
ret.add(doc.typeOf);  ret.add(doc.typeOf,{'field':'typeOf', 'store':'yes'});
return ret }"

I have run out of ideas to debug this. Not sure if it's something to do with
I/O operation. I hope someone can help me resolve this error

Thanks in advance,
