Jeroen, this is a longshot because you seem to be in a web-friendly
country, the Netherlands, however perhaps try replicating via https
instead.

Using HTTPS will reduce the chance of interference by "transparent"
proxies that some ISPs have in place. For example, where I live, I
cannot replicate more than a few hundred changes before getting
errors; but when I switch the URL to https, everything is fine.
