Subject [jira] [Commented] (COUCHDB-1789) CouchDB 1.3 Futon (using Chrome,IE, FF ) freezes while displaying large documents

Wendall Cada commented on COUCHDB-1789:

@[~arpitm] As Dave mentioned, you can try out fauxton in our master branch. However, I'm doubtful
if this will solve the issue. The importance for checking Futon is that it's under heavy development
currently and it's the best target for getting features in that might best support your use-case.
All told, unless this can be reproduced elsewhere, I really think you're running into hardware
and browser limitations. There isn't a very reasonable workaround for this other than freeing
up resources on your machine. I agree with Dave here that there isn't even a reasonable method
by which we could determine if the doc is a problem, other than to attempt to render it.

What I'd be interesting in seeing is some settable timeout for document rendering with a good
fallback mechanism if timeout is reached. Additionally, I agree with Benoit in that it would
be incredibly useful to have a set of complex docs to test with.

I'm +1 on closing this, as I think it's well outside of the scope of Futon to discover hardware
and/or rendering limitations.
