Subject RE: The use of SuperColumns
Date Fri, 18 Nov 2011 19:31:07 GMT
My understanding is that support for super columns will remain within the
thrift API for the foreseeable future (perhaps indefinitely?) but under the
covers, super column families will get transitioned to regular column
families with composite column names (

scratch, this is the approach you should probably take.

I'm also very curious about this. How deprecated/discouraged are super
columns? Are they going to go away? What are the downsides to using them?

There have been mentions that the use of SuperColumns is not really
encouraged, recommendation to use composite columns instead. Will
SuperColumns be removed. Any comments greatly appreciated.
