Subject RE: Extremly slow inserts on LAN

That solved the problem!
It also helps to increase the buffer size from the default value of 1024:
var transport = new TBufferedTransport(new TSocket("192.168.0.123", 9160), 64*1024);

Thanks a lot!

We had similar experience.

Problem was with TSocket as transport alone:

        var transport = new TSocket("192.168.0.123", 9160);
        var protocol = new TBinaryProtocol(transport);
        var client = new Cassandra.Client(protocol);

Using TBufferedTransport helped a lot:

        var transport = new TBufferedTransport(new TSocket("192.168.0.123", 9160));
        var protocol = new TBinaryProtocol(transport);
        var client = new Cassandra.Client(protocol);

Viktor

No - just Windows.
So I'm going to do some experiments to isolate the cause:
- use java client on windows
- use linux server
- use java client on linux

Thanx

Have you tried a Linux-based server or a Linux-based client?
