Subject RE: [jira] [Created] (CB-1283) Investigate Webwork's Implementation of File System on Playbook
Date Wed, 29 Aug 2012 18:52:26 GMT
Hi Tim. The File.io based API you are using on PlayBook is what you should be using. The
PlayBook browser only has a partial implementation of the HTML5 File API. Full support only
comes in the BlackBerry 10 browser. So my suggestion is basically status quo for the Cordova
PlayBook implementation until BlackBerry 10 comes to PlayBook. We will update the docs to
ensure this is clear.

on Playbook

Hey Nukul,

I've been using the webwork's implementation of FileEntry and
LocalFileSystem on the playbook and those calls seemed to work okay. Is it
the case that not all of the html5 file apis are implemented? If so, is
there a date when those will be out?
