Resurrecting this thread!!!

I wish we had WebSockets in Android, since I'd use that to communicate with the Callback Server
instead of the long-polling XHR. That should point out that our native bridge isn't quite
ready for Cross-Mobile Socket Support at this time.  I thought I wrote this last month, but
apparently not.

In short, we need a better bridge to get this feature, otherwise we should just use socket.io
for Android.
