It may be worth noting that some devices don't support 32bitsperpixel and so will still show
banding. The solution there is to dither the images. See http://blog.mrlacey.co.uk/2012/05/256mb-device-difference-which-isnt.html

This currently only affects a couple of devices but can be tested in the 256MB emulator
