Subject [jira] [Updated] (CB-668) FileTransfer - UploadOptions does not deserialize Params
Date Tue, 19 Jun 2012 16:57:42 GMT

Filip Maj updated CB-668:
-------------------------

    Affects Version/s: 1.8.0
                       1.8.1
        Fix Version/s: 1.9.0
             Assignee: Filip Maj (was: Jesse MacFadyen)

I can confirm this problem. I recently was integrating the HTTP status code into the {{FileTransferError}}
object returned in error callbacks, and now there are tests in mobile-spec (under the FileTransfer
tests) formalizing this failure on WP7.

I will take a look.

> The JSON Deserializer, 'DataContractJsonSerializer' cannot deserialize a Dictionary<T1,T2>.
It therefore crashes when trying to deserialize the 'Params' member of the UploadOptions object
when performing an upload.
> A workaround I am using for the moment is to utilise json.NET instead, to deserialize.
If this is used, make sure all deserializable objects that have defined objects as members
have a default constructor (eg add a basic constructor to FileEntry)
