I see you started the discussion there, and per the discussion it
sounds like there is saveToPhotoAlbum, but perhaps it only works on
iOS? On my current Android (Nexus S) with PhoneGap 1.2 and FILE_URI
and no Google+ upload, I do not see the photos saved to the album. I
haven't upgraded to PhoneGap 1.7 as it hasn't fixed any of the Camera
OutOfMemory issues AFAICT so my Camera Java file is heavily patched
up. I'm planning to attempt the merge once there's a tangible benefit,
and saving to photo album would certainly be a benefit.

My use case is:
- I have an app where people take photos of their meals to record how
they're eating. They would like the photos to save to their album when
they take them in the app, in case they want to use them for other
purposes (tweeting, instagraming, etc). Instagram does this, for
