I'm still chugging on the console/logging uber-issue CB-348 ; should probably figure out if
we can do this sort of thing across all the platforms.  Why should folks be tied to Xcode
any more than they're tied to Visual Studio?

If you're writing the server in node, it might as well be an HTTP server, so we can extend
the function easily, and then brogrammers can use it from user-land code via XHR as well.
 If we can afford the weight, socket.io might be a decent fit in here.
