That fixes the issue, but the change isn't in the released cordova 1.6.0 I downloaded last
night:

fgrep -r NetworkManager *
Binary file lib/android/cordova-1.6.0.jar matches
Binary file lib/android/example/.cordova/android/cordova-1.6.0.jar matches
lib/android/example/cordova/templates/project/res/xml/plugins.xml:    <plugin name="Network
Status" value="org.apache.cordova.NetworkManager"/>
Binary file lib/android/example/libs/cordova-1.6.0.jar matches
lib/android/example/res/xml/plugins.xml:    <plugin name="Network Status" value="org.apache.cordova.NetworkManager"/>
lib/android/xml/plugins.xml:    <plugin name="Network Status" value="org.apache.cordova.NetworkManager"/>

All three plugins.xml files are wrong.
